Communism and Socialism on the LEFT and Fascism and Nazism on the RIGHT, WHY?!?!?!?!?

People often place communism and socialism on the “left” and fascism and Nazism on the “right.” do you guys know on what grounds is that done? i dont understand why they place them like that..
