Is it ever okay for a mother to say negative things about the children's father in a divorce?

Not any parent, be it a father or mother, should say negative things about their spouse to their child unless the child is a mature adult. The kids in many cases witness the abuse by their parent and take sides which is normal but telling them negative things about their parent is not right. It shows that parent has a sick mind.
