Go to the police and get a restraining order. What were the cirstances that the ring was given. If it was a holiday or birthday gift, it is yours to keep. If it was an engagement ring, give it back. Block him from being able to call or text you. If he does try to contact you he will be in violation of restraining order. You are a better person than me, I would have left his stuff out in the weather, or maybe put a sign on it "Free stuff". Stay strong, move on.
